Dom Schnitzel Salon Shanghai is currently taking shape at Jasomirgottstraße 6, directly opposite St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The name of the venue is being preserved for a reason. Parts of its distinctive interior were handcrafted by artists from China as early as the 1960s and continue to define the character of the space today. During the current renovation, we are making every effort to preserve these works and as much of their original character as possible. Out of respect for this history, our new restaurant will continue to carry the name Salon Shanghai. Once the work is complete, Wiener Schnitzel will meet a setting unlike any other: Chinese craftsmanship from the 1960s inside, and just beyond the windows, one of the most impressive views of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and Vienna’s historic city centre.
